Since I saw Brooke Hogan wearing a flower in hair even on the beach, I am increasingly intrigued by this style.  I think these many flowers may be a bit too much for your daily style, but the idea is definitely worth exploring for special moments, like parties.  In any case, I would say that two is a very safe choice, one on each side.
