I think my trip to see the artwork by Chris Burden was interesting in more ways than one. With the massive What My Dad Gave Me metal sculpture in the background these two Latinas after shopping at H&M decided to pose on that beautiful waterfall in Rockefeller Center. I was fascinated by that brightly colored one shoulder dress (I fell in love with the butterflies) and I admired her confidence in wearing it on a hot summer day in New York.

I had to gone to NYC to watch the What My Dad Gave Me art display by Chris Burden at the Rockefeller Center and instead of admiring the metal sculpture I ended up being mesmerized (I was not the only one; notice the guy in black sunglasses in the background whose jaw is dropping) by this Asian beauty who put a very interesting and original outfit together. Notice the little black dress (and this is not your grandma’s LBD) paired with knee-high boots and striped tights.

Amateur girl with model attitude

Today my wife and I were discussing how Paris Hilton got to be where she is today. Indeed, she is the daughter of a rich family, tall, skinny, and beautiful, but there are many women like her. What made her a style icon was that she has the attitude of a rock star. Even if she were to put on clothes from Old Navy, she will still rock it.

That is what I feel about this girl.

My favorites are the aviator glasses since they wrap around my eyes and block sunlight sneaking through the side. It definitely protects my eyes and also sun damage around the delicate skin next to the eyes.

I have noticed that full size scarves can be used as a shawl or sarong but I always thought Burberry only made wool scarves. This is the first time I am seeing a silk scarf. My favorite is still the Hermes silk scarf. Obviously several women have shown that a silk scarf can be used as a head band.

I am really starting to like the way you can take a scarf and wrap it around your chest; I guess if you are big breasted, instead of using a Winkee, this should do the trick to hide your large breasts. Or you can use these tips to show cleavage without looking cheap.

I must admit that I love the crisp white shirt and how the waist is emphasized with that beautiful belt but if I see it right I am not thrilled with those leggings. A pair of black pants or skinny jeans would have been perfect.

You saw the scarf top that Bai Ling wore. Then this Japanese girl crisscrossed a knitted scarf around her chest to create a top. That is why I wanted to share two other unique designs here.

In the first photo, the blonde wraps a black lace scarf on her bra to create a great look for a night out.

In the second photo, a woman wears a long scarf as a top by wrapping and crisscrossing it a few times.

What attracted to me to this outfit was its creativity and I had to dig up to find out who the model is. Apparently she is an Indian model/singer/actress (I understand that she is still struggling to make it) but I definitely love her hairpiece, the sequined bra top, and while she seems to be wearing a bellydancing scarf over her panties, I would expect that you might wear a skirt and still use the scarf.

I must confess that this is a very pretty, but still casual, white dress that I have seen in a while. I am not sure it can be called a shirt dress but with that belt tied in a bow at the waist, it sure looks cute on her.
